Experts in Maths and Science subjects will now give tips to teachers and principals of secondary schools in Surat District on Friday,so that they can improve their schools results in the board exams.
The District Education Officers in Surat had recently identified 69 schools in Surat,which performed poorly and had below 30 per cent result in the last SSC board exams.
Taking this as a challenge to improve the education level of students,the DEOs have come up with a plan to educate teachers and principals of these schools.
The education officials have circulated instructions to the principals of all these 69 schools in Surat and have asked them to attend a one -day seminar at Kumari S G Patel School in Vighen village,Bardoli taluka,Surat district.
The experts team comprises Hitesh Patel (Chairman of All
India Ramanujan Maths Club) Rajkot,Chandresh Mauli Joshi (Secretary of All India Ramanujan Maths Club),Surendranagar,Hemant Naik and Rohit Desai from Navsari and Ajay Patel and Rushi Bhatt from Surat.
DEO K R Zanzrukia said,We know the teachers have good experience in teaching their subjects,but the tips will help them a lot. The majority of the students fails in Maths and Science and we have kept these students in mind. The teachers and the principals will be given the tricks which they will explain to their weak students to help them get passing marks in both subjects.
He said the move will help not only the students but also schools as improvement in students performance will enhance the schools reputation.
