Malayali entrepreneurs in Gujarat close ranks,to hold meet on May 5

The move comes close on the heels of CM Narendra Modi’s visit to Kerala last week.

Around 150 entrepreneurs from Kerala,who are settled in Gujarat,will hold “All Gujarat Malayalee Entrepreneurs’ Conclave” on May 5 in Ahmedabad,where they will float a “Malayali Chamber of Commerce” in the state to foster entrepreneurship among the community.

The move comes close on the heels of CM Narendra Modi’s visit to Kerala last week.

“Gujarat is the best place to invest and grow. We wanted some assurance from the Gujarat government for support. Hence,we are floating the Malayali Chamber of Commerce for more industry-government interface so that more businesses can grow. This is the first time we are organising such a conclave where many successful businessmen in Gujarat will share their success stories and ideas,” said Dinesh Nair,secretary of Gujarat chapter of World Malayalee Council.

Additional Chief Secretary (Home) S K Nanda will be the chief guest for the event. There are 13 lakh Malayalis in Gujarat,of which around 3 lakh reside in Ahmedabad.
