PIL on plight of impounded cattle

The Gujarat High Court Thursday issued notices to the state government and Jamnagar Municipal Corporation on a public interest litigation (PIL) alleging that JMC authorities were releasing cattle impounded from streets in the open outside its limits in violation of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
