The Junagadh police on Tuesday claimed to have cracked the case of an alleged kidnapping and robbery of Rs 7 crore cash by arresting a land broker and a professional stuntman from Morbi. The police said that the alleged kidnapping and robbery incident was stage-managed by the accused to hoodwink another land broker who had purchased a piece of land through them.
The police arrested Kara Hingorja, a land broker living in Ambaliya village of Junagadh and Najar Mohammed alias Babu Miyana, a professional stuntmen living in Morbi. The police said that the duo, and Jamal Sumra, land broker of Velariya village in Dhoraji taluka of Rajkot district staged the drama of kidnapping to escape responsibility from a land deal.
The police said Hingorja and Sumra had cooked up the story of kidnapping to hoodwink Dhorajiya. The police also claimed that Hingorja and Sumra had convinced Dhoraiya to buy 56 bigha of land from one Nathubha Jadeja in Nani Marad village in January this year for Rs 7 crore to earn big sums towards brokerage.
