Non-stop flights between Chennai,Ahmedabad; Jaipur and Kolkata
Chennai: Budget airliner IndiGo is all set to launch non-stop flight services between Chennai and Ahmedabad,Jaipur and Kolkata. The new services are slated to be effective from Sunday,IndiGo said in a statement. Besides the launch of new services,IndiGo would also add new frequencies from Chennai to Coimbatore and flights to Hyderabad,Ahmedabad,Delhi by this month-end. In the new service launched by the airliner,one-way fare connecting Chennai-Ahmedabad would cost Rs 3,154,while the flight connecting Ahmedabad-Chennai would cost Rs 3,033. Ahmedabad-Jaipur and Ahmedabad-Kolkata would cost Rs 2,154 and Rs 3,553,respectively.
Two brothers killed in road mishap
Valsad: Two brothers died and another got injured in a road accident near Valsad on Friday night. The mishap took place on the city’s outskirts when the trio was travelling on a motorcycle. The two-wheeler collided with a state bus coming from the opposite direction near Atakpardi village. Hitesh Rathod and Jignesh died on the spot,while their brother-in-law Kiran Rathod was injured and is undergoing treatment. A case has been registered and further investigation was on.
