Gujarat govt appoints new Secretary to Chief Minister, Vikrant Pandey

The Gujarat government has appointed Vikrant Pandey, a Gujarat cadre IAS officer of the 2005 batch, as Secretary to the Chief Minister (CM).

With this, the state government has also promoted current Secretary to the CM Avantika Singh Aulakh, a Gujarat cadre IAS officer of the 2003 batch, to the position of Additional Principal Secretary to the CM.

The General Administration department of the state issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.

A native of Rajasthan, Pandey is an MBBS doctor by education. He has been transferred from his current post as Resident Commissioner to the Government of Gujarat in New Delhi.

With this, the total number of IAS officers in the Gujarat CMO has reached three; Additional Chief Secretary M K Das being the seniormost.
