The engine of a goods train caught fire between Kim and Kosamba stations in Surat district on Monday morning, resulting in partial cancellation of at least three trains on the busy route connecting Gujarat with Mumbai. Kim railway station master K A Verghese said, “The railway traffic was thrown out of gear for three hours. The reason for the fire is not yet known. A probe is on to find out the cause of the fire.”
