Gujarat finance minister to lead Vibrant summit roadshow in Chennai on November 2

The Gujarat government has already held similar roadshows in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh.

Gujarat Finance Minister Kanu Desai will lead a Vibrant Gujarat roadshow in Chennai on November 2, according to a statement from the state government on Tuesday.

The Chennai roadshow — meant to promote the upcoming 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) on January 10-12, 2024 — will be held a day after a similar roadshow in Kolkata. During the roadshow, Desai will deliver an address encapsulating 20 years of the success of VGGS, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ and Gujarat’s readiness for the same under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The Chennai roadshow aims to attract investments in future-ready mega projects such as GIFT City, Dholera SIR and Mandal Bechraji Special Investment region (MBSIR).

Shankar Vanavarayar, Chairman, CII Tamil Nadu State Council and Executive Director, ABT Industries Ltd., will deliver the welcome address, and a presentation on business opportunities in Gujarat will be made by Swaroop P, IAS, Commissioner of Land Reforms and Ex-officio Secretary, Revenue Department, Government of Gujarat.

The state government has already held similar roadshows in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh.
