Patel vs Patel

Who is No 2 in Gujarat? Contrary to popular perception,Finance Minister Nitin Patel, not Revenue Minister Anandi Patel, has emerged as a likely candidate who may qualify for the No 2 slot in the state. This became apparent after Nitin Patel recently chaired important meetings in the absence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi. When Gujarat was reeling under flood and Modi was on a two-day tour of South India, two high-level meetings, with senior ministers and secretaries, were presided over by Nitin Patel. Interestingly,Anandi Patel has widely been treated as No 2 in the secretariat. It seems that while Nitin Patel is taking care of the media and meetings,Anandi Patel is on an inauguration spree.

A senior officer from traffic department said,“During Navratri, the revellers go berserk at night after the garba events get over. So,we thought of ‘sweet’ reminders to follow rules on road for the safety of citizens”.
