Gujarat Assembly gets regular Secretary after over a year; C B Pandya appointed to the post

Gujarat Assembly has got a regular Secretary in C B Pandya with an order in this regard being passed by the state authorities on Saturday. For the past around 13 months, since August 2024, Pandya has been performing his duties as the incharge Secretary of the Assembly.

Pandya will be the 11th Secretary of Gujarat Assembly. Before this, the post has been held by Harkant Shukla, Dwijen Desai, Thakorlal Barot, J M Parikh, P M Thakkar, N K Kathiriya, Vinod Dave, K M Panchal, T K Doria and D M Patel.

D M Patel’s term expired in August last year after which he was not given an extension.
