Followers organise rally ahead of his Surat ‘visit’

The officials of Jehangirpura ashram of Asaram said that the godman will be here to participate in the two-day Janmashtami festival,beginning Wednesday.

The ashram sources said that more than 25 godmen from different parts of country will be present during the celebrations,and like previous years,Asaram will be dressed as Lord Krishna for the festival.

The city police have made special arrangements outside the ashram. A few days ago,NSUI leaders here had opposed the entry and programme of Asaram Bapu at his ashram.

The spokesperson of Jehangirpura ashram,Mihir Desai,said,“We have got confirmation from our spiritual guru,and he will most likely come at the ashram late on Tuesday night or on Wednesday morning. Asaram Bapu will stay at his ashram for two days and conduct satsang programmes in the city. We have asked for police arrangement to prevent any untoward incident.”
