Festival on organic farming begins today

Prakrutik Kheti Jooth, a group of around 250 organic farmers from Mithi-Virdi region of Bhavnagar, will organise a festival on the theme of organic farming – Amrit Ahar Utsav 2023 – at Jawahar Maidan in Bhavnagar city between December 8 and 11.

The festival will have 40 stalls in which the farmers will sell organic grains, organic vegetables and fruits as well as organically prepared food items.

According to a statement issued by the group, they have been organising such a festival for the last seven years. Its objective is to get people directly in touch with farmers, to get more farmers adopt organic farming and to provide such products to more people, it added.
