Dinesh Tadvi,Motibhai Vasava join BJP

Dinesh Tadvi,general secretary of Mohan Delkar's Bharatiya Navshakti Party which has now merged with the Congress,joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday.

Dinesh Tadvi,general secretary of Mohan Delkar’s Bharatiya Navshakti Party (BNP) which has now merged with the Congress,joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday. Motibhai Vasava,a tribal leader who had left the BJP for some time,also returned to the party.

State BJP general secretary Bharatsinh Parmar said it was a homecoming for Vasava while Tadvi left Delkar’s party at a time when he merged his party into the Congress.

Parmar also announced that a number of Kheralu taluka panchayat office-bearers and Congress members,including some from the minority community,had joined the BJP at party head office in Khanpur in the presence of state Urban Development Minister Nitin Patel. Meanwhile,BJP prime ministerial candidate L K Advani will launch Team Advani at Kankaria Football Ground on Friday,where a show of strength will be made with the help of party workers and leaders from across India.

The Team Advani launch will be followed by a one-day visit of Rajya Sabha member and party general secretary Arun Jaitley on Saturday. Jaitley,under the banner of Friends of BJP,will deliver address professionals and general public on “Why BJP”.

Meanwhile,the BJP backroom boys are busy screening requests for specific star campaigners during the electioneering period. Names of Hema Malini,Vinod Khanna,Sushma Swaraj,Rajanth Singh,Rajiv Pratap Rudy,Venkaiah Naidu and Murli Manohar Joshi are among favourites but the schedule has not been drawn yet by the Delhi head office,said a media team member. State campaign in-charge Kaushik Patel said it would take some more time.
