Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will kick-start the third edition of her government’s Lok Samvad Setu initiative from Jamnagar of Saurashtra region Saturday, said an official release Friday. On the second day of the programme, the CM will be visiting Junagadh and Keshod in Saurashtra on Sunday, the release added.
Under the initiative, the CM and council of ministers will visit all the taluka centres of each district of Gujarat and meet people to solve their local grievances on different subjects related to land, electricity connections, sanitation, drinking water, benefits under various development schemes of the government etc. during the year 2016-17.
Next Lok-Samvad Setu programme under the third edition will be held on April 8 and 9.
The CM had started the initiative in August 2014 from Kheda district.
“The effort resulted in finding solution to 13,296 out of total 15,234 problems put up before the authorities in programmes held in 247 talukas during the year 2014-15 – it amounted to 87.27 per cent success,” the release said. Similarly, the initiative had 98 per cent success rate in 2015-16, it added.
