Amdavadis ranked third in online shopping this festive season,revealed a survey conducted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). Coming after Delhi and Mumbai,the citys Internet-savvy consumers have pipped other cities in doing online shopping to avoid the risk of moving in crowded markets.
Shoppers are increasingly shifting to the online mode for festivals,pushing e-commerce business by 250 per cent this Diwali,reveals the recent survey released by the ASSOCHAM on Friday. As per feedback received by 1,200 traders and organised retailers,the buying trends during this festive season have witnessed a significant upward movement due to aggressive online discounts,rising fuel prices and wider and abundant choices offered online.
