Police On Tuesday arrested about two dozen people following a clash at a polling booth in Aravalli on on late Monday night. Police said that a mob of about 200 men had gheraoed the primary school at Bhutiya village in Meghraj taluka and attacked the poll officers.

The mob damaged government and private vehicles and injured several policemen. According to the FIR that names nearly 50 persons and 200 unidentified accused, polling for panchayat seats was over at 5 pm, but a group of people who were still waiting in the queue demanded that they should be allowed to caste their votes.

But the police team sent them back. The FIR stated that three hours later, the mob attacked the school, pelted stones at the police teams, leaving several policemen injured.
