The city police have arrested a man on Wednesday who had allegedly murdered a person 25 years ago.

Ahmedabad:The city police have arrested a man on Wednesday who had allegedly murdered a person 25 years ago. The accused identified as Dinesh Vaghari is a resident of Chekhla village in Sanand area. In 1987,Dinesh had allegedly murdered one Ramesh Trivedi,working as a driver in State Bank of India in Shahibuag and had ran away.

Eklavya Foundation increases awards

Ahmedabad:The Eklavya Education Foundation has announced to increase category of Eklavya Excellent Educator Awards from five to six from this year. The added sixth category is the Lifetime Achievement Award. This will be given to veteran teachers who have spent over 25 years in the education field and made a significant contribution in education.

One more held for gambling in resort

Ahmedabad:The police arrested the canteen manager of Sudama Resort in Paldi area on Wednesday for allegedly helping Dinesh Kalgi to run gambling den. Meanwhile,a Directorate of Vigilance Squad busted a gambling racket running from a house in Chandlodia area and arrested six persons in this connection.

Builder held for fraud

Ahmedabad:The Detection of Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested Ashish Patel,owner of Radhe Builders,for cheating 15 to 20 people. He was allegedly collecting money for already sold out plots in Bopal area of the city.
