According to the district election officials, some unidentified people had been found distributing CDs on the recent temple demotions.

Sources in the Congress and the BJP alleged that the CDs were being distributed by the Mahagujarat Janta Party (MJP).

However,Bharuch’s MJP candidate Naresh Patel was quick to deny the charges. Bharuch MLA Dushyant Patel, however, said,“We have information that the MJP distributed the CDs,but we do not have any concrete proof yet.”
