The Anti Corruption Bureau has begun an inquiry into the property and assets of Gujarat government clerk Mukesh Joshi,who was arrested for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 to transfer a primary school teacher of Kalol in Panchmahals district.
The ACB official said that Hansa Prajapati,a resident of Dariapur,wanted to work closer to home and so,her husband went to the Education Department,where Joshi first demanded a bribe of Rs two lakh. After much requests,the amount came down to Rs 25,000. Hansas husband alerted the ACB,who arranged a trap. Joshi was caught red handed.
The ACB has begun an inquiry into his assets to ascertain whether or not he has accumulated wealth beyond his income.
