Three more people died of swine flu in Gujarat on Monday,pushing this years death toll from the viral infection to 124. In the 673 cases of infection in the same period,406 patients have recovered while 143 are currently undergoing treatment in 84 government hospitals and 60 private hospitals across the state,according to health authorities.
Mondays deaths include a death each in Kheda,Vadodara and Jamnagar. Three others had also died from the virus on Sunday.
Centre clears Bhavnagar-Veraval section of NH
The Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the investment proposal for the Bhavnagar-Veraval section of National Highway 8E,which connects Bhavnagar with Dwarka,a government statement said Monday.
The estimated cost of the project will be Rs 3,338.86 crore,which includes Rs 556.9 crore to acquire land as well as rehabilitation. The total length of road will be 259.98 km, it added.
