2 held with fake notes of Rs 1 lakh face value

The Special Operations Group of the Gandhidham police busted a fake currency racket on Thursday and arrested two persons,including a man who is already facing trial in a similar case and was out on bail.

The Special Operations Group of the Gandhidham police busted a fake currency racket on Thursday and arrested two persons,including a man who is already facing trial in a similar case and was out on bail.

The police said Ramashankar Mukhia and Prabhu Mukhia,both residents of Betia in Bihar,were arrested with fake currency of the face value of Rs 1 lakh. “We have seized 77 counterfeit notes of Rs 1,000 denomination and 46 of Rs 500 denomination,” said SOG inspector Lalit Vadolia.
