India currently has crude oil and fuel stocks to cover 60 days of consumption, the Centre said on Thursday – in the first instance of the government providing crude oil, fuels, and LPG stock information since the war in West Asia began on February 28.
Besides, crude oil procurement for the coming two months has also been tied up, which means that the country is secure for the next several months, it said.

The government also said that there is no LPG shortage for households, adding the supply situation is improving with additional domestic production of the fuel along with cargoes coming in from non-West Asian suppliers.
It said that around one month of LPG supply is “firmly arranged”.
