Domestic equities soared on Friday led by gains in financial services stocks, HDFC twins, and HDFC Bank. BSE benchmark Sensex climbed 466.95 points, or 0.74 per cent to end the week at 63,384.58, while broader NSE Nifty50 jumped 132.60 points, or 0.71 per cent to 18,820.70.
In the intraday session, Sensex touched a high of 63,520.36, up 602.73 points, or 0.95 per cent, while Nifty50 climbed 176.6 points, or 0.94 per cent to touch 18,864.70.
Only the IT and realty sector ended in red, as Nifty Financial Services 25/50 soared 1.45 per cent, followed by PSU Bank at 1.30 per cent, private bank at 1.20 per cent, and Nifty Financial Services at 1.18 per cent.
Broader markets also extended the rally, as Nifty Next 50 gained 1.06 per cent, Nifty Smallcap 50 rose 1.01 per cent, Nifty Smallcap 100 climbed 0.98 per cent, and Nifty Midcap Select jumped 0.90 per cent.
Shares of IKIO Lighting debuted on the stock exchanges on Friday with a premium of 38 per cent on NSE at Rs 392.5 against the issue price of Rs 285. The stock closed at Rs 404.50, up over 3 per cent.

HDFC Life, SBI Life, Bajaj Finserv, Dr Reddy, Titan, UPL, Britannia, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC and HDFC were the top gainers in today’s session.
On the other hand, Wipro, Bajaj Auto, TCS, BPCL, ONGC, PowerGrid, Hero MotoCorp, Apollo Hospital, Tata Consumer and Tech Mahindra were the worst performing stocks today.
