NDTV shares on Tuesday jumped 5 per cent in early trade, to hit the upper circuit after the BSE and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) said that they are putting securities of the Adani group company under a short-term stage-1 ASM framework.
At the time of writing, NDTV’s shares were locked in the upper circuit on BSE, up 4.98 per cent at Rs 249.65.
Leading stock exchanges NSE and BSE late on Monday said that they will put securities of New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) under the short-term ASM framework from today, i.e., May 30.
NDTV is shortlisted in the short-term Additional Surveillance Measure (ASM) framework Stage-I effective from May 30, the NSE and BSE said in two separate circulars.
This comes after the two exchanges had put Adani group’s flagship firm Adani Enterprises under the short-term ASM framework from May 25.
BSE and NSE had last week removed NDTV from the long-term ASM framework.
Adani group has witnessed a rout of over $100 billion since late January after US short-seller Hindenburg Research in a report said that the conglomerate was involved in stock market manipulation and accounting fraud over the course of decades.
The group has denied all the allegations levied against it, and a committee appointed by the Supreme Court earlier this month said that they have found no evidence of stock price manipulation in the group companies.
