UP court asks cops to file FIR against Mallya

The complaint was filed in the court by advocate Rajendra Prasad Sharma, father of the pilot Akash Sharma.

A local court in Bulandshahr has issued direction to register FIR against Vijay Mallya and former Kingfisher Airlines CEO Sanjay Aggarwal for allegedly not depositing a sum of Rs 7 lakh deducted as tax deducted at source (TDS) from the salary of a pilot employed with the airlines.

The complaint was filed in the court by advocate Rajendra Prasad Sharma, father of the pilot Akash Sharma.

“Chief Judicial Magistrate Nupur issued direction to Bulandshahr police to register FIR under relevant Sections of the IPC against Mallya and Aggarwal,” said advocate Rajendra Prasad Sharma.

SSP of Bulandshahr, Piyush Srivastava confirmed having received direction and said FIR would be registered accordingly.
