UltraTech Cement’s Q4 consolidated net profit fell 36 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 1,665.95 crore, the company announced in a regulatory filing on Friday. Its net profit for the same period last year stood at Rs 2,620.43 crore.
The company’s Board has recommended a dividend of Rs 38 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the year ended March 31, 2023.
Ultratech Cement’s revenue from operation in the January-March quarter climbed 18 per cent YoY to Rs 18,562 crore, as compared to Rs 15,767 crore reported in the same period the previous year.
The company said in FY23 it achieved 100 MT of production, dispatches and sales, on the back of effective capacity utilisation of 95 per cent in Q4 and 84 per cent capacity utilisation in the last financial year.
The cement major’s operating EBITDA for the fourth quarter improved to Rs 1,060 per MT from Rs 900/Mt in the last quarter. UltraTech Cement’s domestic sales in Q4FY23 grew 15 per cent with a capacity utilisation of 95 per cent. Meanwhile, for the financial year of 2023, its domestic sales grew 14 per cent with a capacity utilisation of 84 per cent.
UltraCement’s stock ended 0.71 per cent higher today on BSE before the company’s Q4 earnings were announced.
