IT training firm NIIT on Tuesday said it has bagged a five-year contract worth Rs 21.4 crore from the Rajasthan government for introducing computer-aided learning in 1,672 government upper primary schools in the state.
The company has entered into a contract with the Rajasthan Council of Elementary Education (RCEE) to introduce Computer Aided Learning in 1,672 Government Upper Primary Schools in 22 districts of Rajasthan. The value of the contract is Rs 21.4 crore,NIIT said in a statement.
The five-year agreement would involve setting up 1,672 fully furnished modern computer labs with over 5,016 computers,which will benefit 33,340 teachers and 8,36,130 students,cumulatively,it added.
“Receiving the mandate to carry out the largest implementation in 1,672 schools of Rajasthan is a reflection of the confidence and faith vested in us by the government,” NIIT President (School Learning Solutions) L Balasubramanian said.
