Wheat price eases on sluggish demand

Wheat prices declined by Rs 15 per quintal on the wholesale grains market.

Wheat prices declined by Rs 15 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on fall in demand from flour mills at prevailing higher levels.

Traders said sluggish demand from flour mills at prevailing higher levels,mainly led to fall in wheat prices.

In the national capital,Wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 15 to Rs 1565-1570 per quintal,while atta chakki delivery,followed suit and lost Rs 30 at Rs 1570-1575 per 90 kg.

The following are today’s quotations per quintal: Wheat MP (deshi) 2,000-2,200,Wheat dara (for mills) 1,565-1,570,Chakki atta (delivery) 1,570-1,575,Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 210,Shakti bhog (10 kg) 210,Roller flour mill 850-870 (50 kg),Maida 930- 950 (50 kg) and Sooji 1020-1,060 (50kg).

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500,Shri Lal Mahal 9,500,Super Basmati Rice,9,000,Basmati common new 5,200-5,300,Rice Pusa-(1121) new 4,500-5,300,Permal raw 1,900-2000,Permal wand 2,150-2,200,Sela 2,400-2,600 and Rice IR-8 1,500-1,550,Bajra 1,070-1,080,Jowar yellow 1,225-1,250,white 2,050-2,250,Maize 1,260-1,270,Barley 1,275-1,290,Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
