State-owned oil marketing companies on Thursday slashed the rates of commercial cylinders by Rs 83.50, with effect from June 1, 2023. There has been no change in prices of domestic cylinder prices.
This is the third straight monthly reduction in rates of commercial LPG cylinders.
In Kolkata, the rate of commercial LPG cylinders has now been reduced to Rs 1,875.50, from Rs 1960.50. In Mumbi, the cylinder will retail at Rs 1,725, down from Rs 1808.50, while in Chennai, the price has been slashed to Rs 1937, from Rs 2021.50 earlier.
State-owned Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revise the rates of commercial and domestic LPG cylinders on the first day of every month based on the average international price in the previous month.
