Maytas Infra,promoted by the family of disgraced Satyam founder B Ramalinga Raju,said its board has appointed B Narasimha Rao as an additional director.
The board,which met today on a short notice “reviewed the recent developments”,will meet again shortly to review the company’s operations,a Maytas statement said.
“The Board while expressing satisfaction on the efforts to provide information to all governmental agencies on their inspection,advised the employees to extend full support and cooperation in this regard,” the statement added.
Multiple agencies are probing into affairs of Satyam following Raju’s confession that he fudged company’s account books to the tune of Rs 7,800 crore.
The Maytas board also accepted the resignations of chairman and independent director R C Sinha,wholetime director and chief executive P K Madhav and another wholetime director C S Bansal.
However,Bansal would continue to “perform his duties as President – Transportation and Oil and Gas sector”.
