The government on Tuesday cleared appointments in several key economic ministries.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi assigned Anita Agnihotri, secretary, ministry of housing & urban poverty alleviation, the additional charge of the post of secretary, ministry of urban development for three months.
The ACC also assigned the additional charge of the post of secretary, department of telecommunications, ministry of communications & IT to Sewak Ram Sharma, secretary, department of electronics & IT for a period of three months.
Binaya Srikanta Pradhan’s name was cleared as private secretary to the minister of state for petroleum & natural gas Dharmendra Pradhan for five years.
Meanwhile, the name of Nitesh Kumar Jha was cleared for appointment as officer on special duty (OSD) to home minister Rajnath Singh.
V Appa Rao, an Indian Railways Stores Service officer of 1993 cadre, was appointed as OSD to MoS civil aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, while BN Krishnaiah, a 2000-batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer, was appointed as OSD to rail minister DV Sadananda Gowda.
