Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday countered the allegations of Congress over wrongful imposition of sedition charges against JNU students for raising anti-national slogans by the Delhi police saying hate speech cannot be free speech in the country. During the budget session of the Parliament, Jaitley, while speaking in Rajya Sabha asked how vandalism can be condemnable but act of sedition not by the Opposition.
