Budget 2016 has just been presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. At the end of the rather long speech — actually the entire document is about 77 pages, including the annexes which were not read out — we analyse the interesting points of the document.
For instance, the document is 25,269 words long and has 1,617 sentences. The most repeated word was TAX with 230 instances, while income was used 117 times. Interestingly, 5% was used 110 times, while the word proposed appeared 108 times. In comparison, exempted and exemption appeared 33 times, so did 10%. The term budget was used just 34 times.
The phrase “of the income tax act so as to” was used 14 times and was the most repeated phrase, according to the Text Analyser tool.
