The German National Tourist Office, India (GNTO) successfully concluded its annual roadshow in New Delhi, witnessing great interest from the travel trade in the city. Present at the roadshow were 13 German partners who are visiting Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Mumbai post Delhi. The partners were thrilled to see the enthusiastic response from the travel fraternity in Delhi.
The Roadshow gave the German partners an enhanced understanding of the Indian perspective, further aiding in the development of customized products suitable to the Indian market. The Indian trade partners on their part, walked away with more knowledge of the multitude of products offered by destination Germany, especially with regards to the products of the partners present.
Mr. Romit Theophilus, Director Sales & Marketing, said “Germany has witnessed over 4, 70,000 overnights from India for the period of January-August, 2015. Since the inception of the German National Tourist Office in India in 2006, Germany has seen a 73% growth in visitor overnights from India. This phenomenal growth stands testament to the increasing interest in Germany as a favorable destination for the discerning Indian travelers.” “We only see the interest increasing in the coming years” added Theophilus.
The core Marketing Theme for GNTO in 2015 has been “Traditions and Customs” (Traditions & Customs), further reinforced in the organization’s promotions and communication. With the support of the Indian partners the GNTO, has been able to bring forth the Cultural magnificence of the destination. “We believe Germany has a lot to offer the Indian traveller looking at experiencing European Culture with something to enthral everybody’s senses” said Theophilus.
The roadshow which is scheduled this year in Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Mumbai facilitated interactions between German partners and the Indian travel trade on latest offers, highlights and attractions for the Indian travelers.
