Indian American couple Jaya and Jason spend their weekends seeking thrills on land, in the water — liquid or frozen — and in the sky. Fortunately the Pacific Coast offers abudance opportunites for thrillseeking.
When it comes to kitesurfing Jason prefers a leisurely slalom along a scenic coastline while keeping most of the sky firmly above him. Jaya, on the other hand, is an extreme freestyler who can’t pass up a monster loft despite the risk of an occasional kitemare.
This weekend Jaya has talked Jason into going along with her quest for the ultimate loft — skydives along the California coast.
Their roadtrip in Jason’s new Chevy Blazer EV (of which he’s extremely proud) is interrupted by a call. It’s Jaya’s mother who expresses concern about her daughter’s love of thrills at the risk of not seeing her son grow into successful manhood.
The call triggers a discussion about the pros and cons of their respective kiteboarding styles. Jason chides Jaya for allowing her thrillseeking to create some nightmare scenarios while Jaya jokes that the only risk Jason takes is dying of boredom with his “lawnmowing” style.
Jaya wonders aloud how Jason can even risk letting her drive his beloved Blazer EV given his worries about her risk-loving mindset. Jason replies that, in keeping with his “safe and sane” policy, the Blazer EV is loaded with tricks to keep them cruisin’ without bruisin’.
The couple ultimately find alignment on big clean air, blue sky and Jason’s Chevy Blazer EV.
