Tata owned luxury car maker Jaguar-Land Rover is celebrating its 5th anniversary in India. To commemorate this milestone, the British marque has announced of offering some lucrative deals on its XF 2.2L Diesel and Freelander 2 models in India. With the festive season already onto us, the firm will also be looking forward to attract more customers into the brand around the same time.
Starting off with the XF 2.2L Diesel, Jaguar will be offering a complimentary 3 year service plan on the car along with attractive banking schemes from Jaguar finance. The down payment on the XF is Rs 10.85 lakh while the monthly installments start from Rs 59,500. The XF carries a price-tag of Rs 49.38 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Freelander 2 buyers will have to shell out Rs 4.15 lakh as the initial down-payment with EMI starting at Rs 49,900. In addition, Land Rover has also launched a comprehensive 3 year service plan for the Freelander 2 under this scheme. The Freelander 2 is priced between Rs 43.38 lakh to Rs 48.73 lakh, ex-showroom New Delhi.
Prospective buyers can also trade-in their existing cars and avail limited period loyalty bonus and exchange benefits of up to Rs 1.25 lakh on the aforementioned models. .
The XF 2.2L Diesel sources its power from a 2.2 litre four-cylinder diesel engine that is rated at 190PS of power and 450Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to the rear wheels. The ARAI certified mileage of the XF 2.2 Diesel is 16.36km/l. The XF chiefly competes against other luxury sedans such as the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes Benz E-Class and Audi A6 in the Indian car market.
The Freelander 2 is available in 3 variant options, namely- SE, Sterling Edition and HSE. All the variants feature a 2.2 litre four-cylinder diesel engine. Although, in the HSE it comes with a different and more powerful tune. The power in the HSE variant of the Freelander 2 is rated at 190PS along with a torque of 420Nm. On the SE and the Sterling Edition, the engine develops an adequate power of 150PS with torque remaining unchanged at 420Nm. The Freelander 2 comes fitted with a 4WD system as standard while power transmission duties are taken car by a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The ARAI certified mileage for the SUV is 12.39 km/l. The Freelander takes the fight against Audi Q5, BMW X3 in India.
