Hero Electric, one of India’s leading manufacturers of electric two wheelers, has launched it’s first ever e-cycle, Avior. The Avior, targeted at young professionals and young corporates, is available in two variants, AMX and AFX. While the male oriented AMX bears a price tag of Rs. 19,290 the female oriented AFX is priced at Rs. 18,990 (prices on-road, Delhi). Both the variants are now on sale across the five metropolitan cities of India.
Both the AMX and AFX variants of Avior e-cycle come equipped with a host of features which are common to them, such as alloy wheels, detachable battery box, tail lamp integrated battery, LED headlamp, adjustable seat, electric horn, hub motor and front forks. In addition to these features, the AMX gets 6-speed Shimano gear and electronic disc brake at front, whereas the AFX receives a metallic front basket as exclusive equipment. The batteries on both the variants take around 9 to 10 hours for charging up fully, and can be ridden at a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The e-cycles can be ridden with the help of pedals manually, if the battery runs out of charge.
