BMW India has launched the X6 facelift in India priced at Rs 1.15 crore, ex-showroom, pan-India. The new-generation BMW X6 is available only in xDrive-40d M Sport variant with minimal changes made to the exteriors as well as the interiors.

The X6, also known as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC), is basically a crossover-coupe that offers good handling and performance.

The second-generation X6 is slightly bigger in size than its predecessor as it measures 4,909 mm in length, 1,989 mm in width and 1,702 mm in height, while it gets the same wheelbase of 2,933 mm.

In terms of exterior equipment list, it comes with bolder and sharper front fascia, new LED bi-xenon headlamps that are now connected to the signature kidney grille. The revised front and rear bumpers, redesigned taillamps and 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch optional) complement the overall look of the crossover-coupe.

The German carmaker is also offering an M Sport package that includes air-intakes finished in high-gloss black, M door sill finishers, M badges on the right and left wings and tailpipe covered in high-gloss chrome.

Inside the cabin, one will notice similar interiors as seen on the current BMW X5. The two-tone upholstery in Nappa leather with contrast stitching in Cognac/Black or Ivory white/black gives the cabin a very classy look. The Oak wood inserts on the door trims and the dashboard add a premium touch to it.

Other standard kit inside the cabin includes a 10.25-inch central display, full-colour head-up display, a high-end Harman Kardon surround sound system, night vision with dynamic light spot functionality, paddle-shifters, intelligent emergency call system, BMW ConnectedDrive services including satellite navigation and real-time traffic information, and much more.

The second-gen BMW X6 is powered by a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, in-line 6-cylinder diesel motor. The Twin turbo unit makes 313 PS of maximum power at 4,400 rpm and peak torque of 630Nm between 1,500 – 2,500 rpm. All the power generated by the engine is sent to all four wheels via a 8-speed automatic transmission. According to the manufacturer, the BMW X6 xDrive 40d can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 240km/h.

The newly launched BMW X6 facelift will be imported and sold in India as completely built-up units (CBU).
