Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the all new variants of the Tiger 800, XCx and XRx. The new avatars of this adventure motorcycle were showcased on the occasion of India Bike Week which was held at Vagator, Goa. Both the XCx and XRx are expected to arrive on the Indian shores in the first half of the ongoing year.
While both these new versions of the Tiger 800 share the engines as well as other mechanical underpinnings, there are a couple of substantial changes which set them apart from each other. The XCx has been blessed with spoke wheels, WP sourced suspension, engine protection bar and aluminium sump guard over the XRx, which comes alloy wheels and a softer suspension. The additional features in the XCx make it a more hardcore machine for off-roading purposes, as compared to the rather touring-friendly XRx.
The new features which have made their way in both XCx as well as XRx and are unseen in the currently sold Tiger 800XC, are ride-by-wire technology, adjustable seat height, cruise control, traction control and switchable ABS. Both the variants will be launched with a slight premium over the present Tiger 800XC, which retails at Rs 12.00 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
Triumph participated in the India Bike Week for the very first time this year, which proved to be a spot-on moment for the manufacturer to commemorate its first anniversary in India.
Commenting on Triumph’s run in India, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India said, “We are delighted with the way things have panned out for us in India.
