YS Avinash Reddy biography
Y.S. Avinash Reddy is a political leader from the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. He is the incumbent two-time MP from Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore constituency. Born on August 27, 1984, he is the son of former legislator Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy, nephew of ex-Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and cousin of current Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
He won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from the Kadapa seat but resigned from the post along with the other MPs of his party, demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh. He once again won the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 from the same seat, making him a two-time Member of the Parliament from the same seat.
His political career is also surrounded by controversies, as he along with his father Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy were named the accused in the murder of his uncle Vivekananda Reddy. Although the charges were dropped later on, the public scrutiny still continues to date.
