Mumbai: Stop cycle track construction along Powai lake to save crocodiles, says wetland committee member

The road will block access to the crocodiles which need to come ashore to bask and lay eggs, said Stalin D, director of NGO Vanashakti and a member of the Bombay High Court-appointed wetland committee.

BNHS to conduct study on migratory birds at wetlands in Maharashtra

The Mangrove Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday with BNHS for the five-year-study costing Rs 2.77 crore. The studies will take place at Nandur-Madhmeshwar Sanctuary, Gangapur Dam, Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary, Hatnur Dam, Ujjani Reservoir and Visapur Dam.
