Savarkar’s 10 clemency pleas not ‘submissive’ to British: Relative in court

A Pune court was hearing Satyaki Savarkar’s defamation complaint against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his alleged objectionable remarks against V D Savarkar in 2023.

The proposal to honour Savarkar was moved by Senate member Sheetal Devrukhkar-Sheth, who represents the Bharatiya Janata Party.
