The accused in the crape ase, Kuldeep Singh Sengar, was brought to AIIMS before the day's proceedings began. The expelled BJP MLA has also been booked for murder in the accident case in which the victim and her lawyer sustained serious injuries while her two aunts died.
The High Court order came hours after the Supreme Court instructed it to expeditiously decide on the request by a special judge, Dharmesh Sharma, to set up a temporary court at the AIIMS hospital to record her testimony.
Justice Suresh Kumar Kait denied relief to Amir Khan alleging that the August 13 order of a trial court judge was "illegal, improper, prejudicial and against established principles of criminal procedure code"
Sengar is lodged in Tihar Jail in Delhi in the rape case and for also allegedly orchestrating a road accident in Rae Bareli last month leaving the rape victim and her lawyer seriously injured. Two of her aunts died in the incident.
