Twinkle Khanna: From Bollywood Debut to Literary Success Twinkle Khanna, born Tina Jatin Khanna on December 29, 1973, transitioned from a successful Bollywood career to becoming a highly acclaimed author and entrepreneur. Her film debut in the 1995 musical romance Barsaat earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, launching her into the Hindi film industry. She appeared in several notable films including Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998), Seenu (1999), Baadshah (1999), and Joru Ka Ghulam (2000), before retiring from acting after Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2001). Khanna's post-acting career has been marked by significant literary achievements. Her debut non-fiction book, Mrs. Funnybones (2015), became a bestseller, establishing her as India's highest-selling woman writer that year. Subsequent works, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad (2016), Pyjamas Are Forgiving (2018), and Welcome to Paradise (2023), further solidified her position as a leading author, consistently topping bestseller lists.
