Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister of India for the second time on the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan in a star-studded on Thursday evening. BJP party chief Amit Shah followed Rajnath Singh to the podium as over 8000 guests looked on.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan has hosted the investiture ceremonies of defence personnel, swearing-in ceremonies of leaders, been witness to the signing of historic pacts and treaties with various countries, and has heard the speeches of several world leaders.
The swearing-in ceremony began at Raj Bhavan in Bhopal at 3 pm. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath to the newly inducted ministers. In the recently held assembly elections, Congress managed to win 114 seats in 231-member state assembly.
A circular issued by the Supreme Court registry Saturday said the ceremony will be held at 10.30 am on August 7. The President on Friday had issued the warrant of appointment of three judges elevating them to the SC.
