Redevelopment of Railway Stations: Launched in 2022, the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) aims at development and upgradation of stations over the Indian Railways (IR) network.

During it journey between Thiruvananthapuram and Tambaram, this new Amrit Bharat Express train will halt at 15 stations.

Thiruvananthapuram–Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express Launched: This new non-AC train has been designed to provide affordable and high-quality service for passengers from lower and lower-middle income category.

Indian Railways originating train capacity: In a release, the Ministry of Railways said that while the plan is to double the capacity by 2030, it is expected to be increased progressively over the next five years so that the benefits of capacity addition can be reaped immediately.
