Two people, including the person who sold the liquor, have been arrested and five policemen have been suspended in the case. Teams have been formed to nab the main supplier, police said. Four persons are undergoing treatment at KGMU trauma centre in Lucknow.
While the boy’s condition is serious and admitted in the district hospital, two youths and a senior citizen who suffered minor injuries were discharged from the local Primary Health Centre after being administered first aid.
“At around 8 am, 10-year-old Soni went to collect mangoes when she was attacked by a pack of around four dogs. She suffered injuries on her face and neck. Her condition is still serious,” said Manpur police SO, O P Rai.
At a time when 18 teams deployed by the district administration as well as villagers are organising operations in Sitapur to catch stray dogs after 13 children were allegedly mauled to death, locals who claim to have witnessed some of the killlings say the animals being captured did not resemble the ones behind the attacks.
The man along with his two friends kept the daughter locked up for nearly 18 hours in one of the accused house and took turns to rape her. The victim managed to escape and reached home, where she confided in her mother.
“At around 7 am, some local boys were playing on a road parallel to the canal, situated about 600-700 meters away from Kheri border, when they saw a black-coloured travel bag. After opening it, thinking that the bag might contain clothes, they found a body in it," said Anand Kulkarni.
Sitapur, Feb 23 (ANI): Two men were arrested in connection with the murder of a girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district. Sitapur Superintendent of Police (SP) Balendu Bhushan Singh said that the incident might be a case of love affair, adding that a case has been registered based on the statements of victim's family. The duo allegedly shot the deceased when she was returning home with her sister.
Sitapur (UP), Feb 23 (ANI): In an another shocking incident, a girl was allegedly shot dead by bike borne men for opposing eve-teasing in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur. Victim's sister said two men use to eve-teased them regularly. She alleged that the police did not perform their duty in spite of registering a complaint. Circle Officer (CO) Rahul Mithas informed that the police are inquiring from the nearby people to collect evidences. The victim's body has been sent for post-mortem and a probe is on.
Sitapur, Feb 18 (ANI): A marriage party turned out to be a sorrow affair after the groom was allegedly shot dead accidently in a celebratory firing. As per reports, the man who fired is yet to be identified. The bullet hit the groom's head and he fell off the horse. He was immediately rushed to the Sitapur district hospital, where doctors referred him to Lucknow after some preliminary medication. However, he succumbed to his injuries on his way to Lucknow. The news of the groom's death has created panic among the two families.
