Sanjeev Balyan biography

Sanjeev Kumar Baliyan, also known as Sanjeev Baliyan, is a political leader from Uttar Pradesh and a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party. He is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh’s Muzzafarnagar Lok Sabha constituency. He was born on June 23, 1972, in Kutbi, Uttar Pradesh, He holds a Ph.D in Veterinary Anatomy from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, and is a veterinarian by profession.

In 2014, he emerged victorious over his opponent in the Muzaffarnagar constituency, where he was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP). In the general elections of 2019, he won from Muzaffarnagar once more, extending his political triumph. His involvement in legislative procedures and emphasis on topics related to rural and agricultural development have been hallmarks of his time as an MP.

In 2014, he held the position of Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing, demonstrating his dedication to the advancement of agriculture. Later on, he was Minister of State for River Development, Ganga Rejuvenation, Water Resources, and Minister of State for Fisheries, Dairy, and Animal Husbandry.

He was accused of being involved in the Muzaffarnagar riots in 2013. He disputed these charges, saying he had been wrongly linked to the case. His political image became more nuanced as a result of the judicial actions surrounding this matter.
