Islamabad had on Thursday announced it was suspending the bi-weekly Samjhauta train service connecting Lahore and Delhi. Pakistan’s minister for railways, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, said the service will remain suspended indefinitely.
The court has also rapped the investigating agencies in general for what it called a "malaise" to "coin various terms like Muslim terrorism, Hindu fundamentalism etc or brand an act of criminal(s) as act(s) of particular religion, caste or community".
Jhajjar, Feb 22 (ANI): The ongoing protest of the Jat community for reservations in government jobs and institutions continued on Monday as the protestors partially blocked the highway in Jhajjar, Haryana. Samjhauta Express, the train that connects India and Pakistan, was also cancelled due to the ongoing unrest. However, the NH-8 has been open for traffic but NH-1 and NH-10 are still blocked. No roads have been blocked in Gurgaon and the situation is expected to remain normal today.
