The film did raise some pertinent points about sexual abuse and child sexual abuse in particular. But it was too in-your-face preachy about the whole affair. That said, Udne Do, from a cinematic point of view, is an average film, but as a PSA, it works effectively.

Actor-filmmaker Revathy said Udne Do is a sensitively made film and when she read the script she was worried whether the director will be able to narrate and justify the story on-screen.

Revathy has clarified that the woman she spoke about in the WCC press conference on Saturday was not actually sexually harassed. During the press meet, Revathy spoke about a woman who knocked at her door late at night needing help.

Mahesh Bhatt's critically acclaimed film Arth is to be remade, and the right for the same has been bought by Sarath Chandra. The film will be helmed by none other than Revathy, who also happened to star in the Tamil remake of the same titled Marupadiyum.
